Lake Nona

The University of Florida, the oldest and largest public university in the state has announced plans to locate a research facility at Lake Nona Medical City. The 100,000 square-foot facility will be located next to the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute at Lake Nona and will enable the university to have direct collaboration opportunities with Sanford-Burnham Institute’s top scientists. The facility is projected to open in the summer of 2012.
